Sundre

Sundre is a town of over 2,500 nestled in a valley at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills in Alberta, Canada. Sundre is steeped in the beauty of the western wilderness, located where the Bearberry Creek meets the Red Deer River. Despite its modest size Sundre hosts many modern facilities and amenities. Sundre is the perfect launching point for your western adventure, whether you want to spend the day exploring the Snake Hill Recreation Area, visiting the Ya Ha Tinda horse ranch west of town or splashing and laughing your way down the Red Deer River with Otter Rafting Adventures!

Events

Each June sees the Sundre Pro Rodeo come to town.  This is an excellent opportunity to experience an authentic Alberta rodeo.
